Priced for nonprofits. Most of our clients are nonprofits, like universities and charities. Accordingly, we have priced our services primarily with nonprofits in mind. If commercial entities get some benefit here, we think it's worth it to serve the nonprofit community.
Yes. An event with 10 contestants or fewer pays no contestant charge, with every feature included and no time limit. If it also sells nothing through our checkout, it costs nothing at all.
$3.49 for every contestant, billed once to your card on file after the event, and never more than $299 for one event. An 11-contestant event is $38.39. A 30-contestant event is $104.70. A 500-contestant event is $299.
No. Imported from a spreadsheet, added by hand or registered online, every contestant is $3.49 once an event has more than 10.
Per member. There is no team price. A team of four counts as four contestants.
It applies only to money LiveJudge collects for you at checkout: entries, add-ons, merchandise and spectator tickets. It comes out of each sale, so there is nothing to pay later on it. It is ours, separate from the card processing Stripe charges you. Bring your own list and sell nothing through us, and there is no 2.5%.
Only the 2.5% on paid tickets, taken from the sale. Free tickets cost nothing, and spectators are never counted as contestants.
Yes. Contestant charges never exceed $299 for one event, however many contestants you have. The 2.5% is not capped, because it follows the money you take in.
The 2.5% on that sale goes back with the refund, and a refunded contestant is not counted when we bill after the event.
No. Judges, co-hosts, admins, and fans are all unlimited and always free. The only thing that is counted is contestants.
Every event gets its first 100 votes free, which covers a small ballot outright. Beyond that, paid votes are $0.10 each, billed after the event. The feature itself is never behind a tier: sponsored ballots, geo-fencing, vote limits and live results are all included, and a sponsored ballot usually more than covers the votes.
Not by default. Pricing is pay-as-you-go and you can run one event a year or twenty. Contract pricing is available for extended agreements.
Nothing. Every event held before October 10, 2026 runs free with every feature included, whatever its size and whenever it was created. Events held on or after October 10, 2026 follow the pricing above.
You are billed on contestants who entered and were not refunded. Cancel before anyone enters and there is nothing to bill.
Yes, and it costs nothing. Sign in, build your event, and run a test in about two minutes; with 10 contestants or fewer it stays free. Send us your paper scoresheet and we will convert it into a working rubric for free.
